Hello, I'm Christiane Haas, illustrator and comic artist. I studied Communication Design at the FH Darmstadt and Editorial Design at the Burg Giebichenstein in Halle an der Saale and live and work in Leipzig.

I draw observations from everyday life, interpersonal encounters, memories of the past, a bit of the imaginary, sometimes philosophical and I love to draw trivial things. Some of the drawings you can discover in my books, that were published by avant-Verlag, Berlin.

I illustrate for several institutions and magazines like Kinderliteraturtage Ludwigshafen, the Museum Schloss Heidecksburg in Rudolstadt, Biennale für zeitgenössische Fotografie, Mannheim, Werde Magazine, Emotion Magazine, and my comic strip "Liebe, Sorge, Ausdauer" appears in the TAZ, die Tageszeitung every three weeks.

In 2014, I co-founded the „Risoclub“ - the first open workshop for risography in Leipzig with Sina Schindler and Alexander Brade, which I ran for many years alongside my work as a freelance illustrator and led numerous workshops and courses there over the years. I have also taught risography and illustration workshops at various universities throughout Germany.

Would you like to work with me for your business or are you looking for a special gift in the form of a short comic, illustration or animation? I am happy about every nice contact.
